"PANIM was such a great experience for me. I loved the program more than any other summer experience. It taught me that Jews can’t just sit back and watch the world go by. We have to work at fixing it."
- Dayne Seiden
Short Hills, NJ

JAM isn't all work - there's plenty of time to enjoy the summer and have some fun. You will have periods of free time to go paddle-boating in the tidal basin, explore D.C's monuments and museums at your own pace, or read a book in one of D.C.'s trendy cafes.

You will be in town during the Smithsonian Folklife festival, which features food, music, and art from all over the world.

In the past, examples of recreation include biking the sites of DC, whitewater tubing in West Virginia, a Nationals baseball game, a trip to Annapolis and Sandy Point Beach, and hiking in Great Falls National Park.
